Man arrested in fatal shooting of grandmother's husband

WINCHESTER - A man has been arrested in the Wednesday shooting death of an elderly Winchester man who was his grandfather by marriage.

The death of Timothy Hill, 72, was first investigated as a suspicious death after Winchester Police responded to 484 Scofield Mountain Road in Winchester for a welfare check and found Hill dead.

Keegan Duhaime, 26, of Winchester, was arrested later in the day and charged with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of Hill by shooting him and one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing his death due to an extreme indifference to the value of human life. Duhaime is the grandson of Hill's wife and also resided at 484 Scofield Mountain Road with Hill.

An autopsy on Hill is set for later today.

It is anticipated that Duhaime's arraignment will also be conducted to at Cheshire Superior Court in Keene.
