Maine woman hurt in Rochester crash

ROCHESTER - A Berwick, Maine, woman was injured in a Christmas Eve accident when the vehicle she was driving veered off the road on Washington Street and struck some trees.

Police say Brenda L. Sewall, 50, was driving a 2007 Nissan Versa westbound on Washington Street when she went off the westbound shoulder and struck some trees. The airbags deployed and Sewell and her passenger, Gregory Sewell, 51, were luckily wearing their seat belts.

Brenda Sewall was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries. The Nissan was towed from the scene with moderate damage.

The accident remains under investigation.
