Maine motorcyclist dies in head-on crash in York

YORK, Maine - A Maine man died on Saturday after his motorcycle collided head-on with another vehicle on Route 1.

The accident occurred around 4:15 at the intersections of Route 1 and Logging Road,

The operator of the motorcycle and a sedan were transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital by way of York Ambulance.

The operator of the motorcycle, 57-year-old Brian Aromando of Ogunquit, later died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The York Police Department and the Maine Wardens Service are still investigating this crash.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, police said.
