CORINNA, Maine - Maine safety officials reported on Saturday that a motorcyclist was killed when he collided with another vehicle on Route 7.
Maine State Police responded to the crash around 6:25 p.m. on Friday to find that a motorcycle operated by 60-year-old Merle Page of Corinna was traveling north when he crossed the center line into opposing traffic striking a Chevrolet Silverado head on.
Page, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet and his 8-year-old son were not injured. State Police were assisted on scene by the Penobscot County Sherriff's Office and the Corinna Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
