ROCHESTER - A tractor trailer headed north on Route 11 Friday night was snagged by a low-hanging phone wire near The Ridge Marketplace.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. drawing a response from Rochester Police and the State Police Motor Carrier Enforcement Unit.

Police say the 2000 Freightliner tractor with attached trailer, operated by Ashmir International, was traveling north when it struck a low hanging phone wire, causing the roof of the trailer to become dislodged and peeled rearward.
