Lebanon native graduates with degree in medicine

LEWISBURG, W.Va. - Matthew St. Jean, D.O., graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree on May 28.

While at WVSOM, Dr. St. Jean received silver T.O.U.C.H. (Translating Osteopathic Understanding Into Community Health) recognition for community service and was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, a national honorary osteopathic service fraternity.

St. Jean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in medical biology from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, in 2016. He is a 2012 graduate of Noble High School in North Berwick, Maine.

St. Jean is the son of Wendy Alves of Lebanon, Maine.

He plans to enter an internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
