ROCHESTER - Larry E. Vigue, 82, of Rochester, died peacefully on April 7, 2025, just days before his 83rd birthday.
Larry was born on April 12, 1942, in Maine, raised in Littleton and spent much of his life in the Rochester community. He worked for the Town of Littleton, Griffin Construction in Portsmouth and owned Larry Vigue trucking; he was very proud of this accomplishment, and spent many years with Severino Construction, where he was known for his dedication, reliability and the deep respect he earned from his coworkers.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Sue Ann Downey -- a loss that stayed close to his heart throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his brother Frank (Bim) Penny; his son, Larry A. Vigue; his daughter, Cindy M. Sawdy; and his four grandchildren: Andy, Kristi, Casey, and Samantha -- all of whom he loved dearly and took great pride in.
Larry was a force to be reckoned with -- strong-willed, fiercely loyal, and unmistakably himself. There will never quite be anyone like him. He cared deeply for those he loved and showed it in his own steadfast way.
He found peace and joy in the outdoors, especially when fishing or hunting, and treasured the time he spent doing what he loved. Larry lived his life with grit, heart, and a presence that left a lasting mark on those who knew him. He leaves behind friends, family, and neighbors who will miss him dearly.
