ACTON - Ted Kryzak of Acton told The Lebanon Voice today he had decided against running for state representative for House District 20.

Kryzak, a Republican, had considered running for the open seat, but said his commitments to his job and as an Acton selectman came first.

His decision not to run leaves two Republicans left in the race: Harrison Thorp, editor and publisher of The Lebanon Voice; and Karen Gerrish, a Lebanon schoolteacher and chairwoman of the Lebanon Board of Selectmen.

A primary will be held June 10 to determine who will run in November in the general election.

The lone Democrat running is Bettie Harris-Howard of Lebanon.

The new House District 20 comprises Acton, Lebanon and a portion of western Shapleigh.
