DOVER - Kenneth "Ken" John Healy Jr., 53, died on May 30, 2022 at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover.

Ken was born on March 1, 1969 in Dorchester, Mass., the son of Kenneth John and Marianne (Owens) Healy. Ken received his Bachelor's Degree from Plymouth State College. He moved from Massachusetts in 1997 to Dover. He worked for the City of Dover as the City Engineer. He married Maureen MacDonald on September 2, 2000 and they had four children together. Ken was a wonderful father. He never missed an event to support them, in school and especially sports. He loved to coach them, was their biggest cheerleader and fiercest protector. He was always there for his children. Ken was a coach for Dover baseball, from T-ball through high school and Dover Soccer. Ken always put his family first.

He had a love of the outdoors, fishing, biking, hiking, skiing, camping and going to York Beach. He followed all the New England Sports teams, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. Ken brought a liveliness to every room he entered, sharing wisdom and jokes with everyone he met. His motto was "smile and the world smiles back."

Ken is survived by his wife of 21 years, Maureen (MacDonald) Healy; his son Kenneth Healy III, his three daughters Maeve, Megan and Khloe. He is also survived by his mother, Marianne (Owens) Healy and his three older sisters, Theresa Bryant (Gerard) of Plymouth, Mass., Denise Hagerty (Paul) of Abington Mass., Maureen Peterson (Michael) of Plymouth Mass., and Eileen McNally (Robert) of Weymouth, Mass.
