SOMERSWORTH - Katie Merrihew, 37, of Somersworth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday Nov. 2nd, 2021 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as the result of being struck by a motor vehicle on Route 108.

Katie was born Jan 25, 1984, in Rochester, and was a lifelong resident of the Seacoast Area. Family and friends describe her as an outgoing, gregarious, fun-loving, and caring person. Katie was a very warm-hearted, generous, and altruistic woman, who consistently showed her compassion for others, by always giving selflessly of herself, and placing their needs above her own. As a single mother of four, Katie had the remarkable ability to overcome adversity, strive for betterment, and maintaining a positive outlook -- while fostering the relationships between her children, and their fathers. Katie was a woman with strong family values, and she continually led the efforts to bring her extensive family together for special gatherings.

Katie, the daughter of Ricki Bisson and Debra (Hartford) Bisson, is survived by her four beloved children; Deisha, Tiana, Joseph, and Jason. Additionally, she leaves behind her three brothers, Sean, Ryan, and Zakri; along with, numerous half-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
