ROCHESTER - John "Chicky" E. Chick Jr., of 77 Seneca Street, died on March 11, 2016, while doing what he loved best, shooting trap in competition.
He was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, on February 28, 1945, the son of John E. Chick Sr., and Grace Dodier Gerry. He worked at and retired from General Electric as a Tool Maker In 2000. John enjoyed hunting, trap shooting at Silver Dollar Resort in Fla., and traveling. He was a member of the South Berwick Rod and Gun Club, NRA, Sons of the Legions and the Trap Shooters Association. When not trap shooting, John enjoyed his time with friends, family and trips with the grandchildren in the motor home.
He was predeceased by his father, John E. Chick Sr., a son Ralph "Skip" St. Hilaire and a daughter Robin Lyle. He leaves behind his mother Grace Dodier Gerry and her husband Glen Gerry, beloved wife Anna, sons John E. Chick III and Rodney St. Hilaire, grandchildren Stefanie McKuhen, Tyler Lyle, Kristen Lyle, Victoria St. Hilaire and Amber St. Hilaire. He also leaves sister Judy Czarnecki and her husband Don, brother Charles Chick and his wife Diane, sister Susan Fontaine and her husband Norman and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank everyone for the prayers and support during this unexpected event.
