DOVER - Jeannine T. Ryan, of Dover, died on May 24 at the age of 66 after an incredibly courageous battle with ALS. Born in Framingham, Mass., Jeannine attended Framingham High School (1974), graduated from Keene State College (1978), and became a valued member of the Dover community.

Incredible friend, aunt, sister and neighbor, those who knew Jeannine enjoyed her quiet, loving demeanor - and exceptional, quick wit. Baker extraordinaire, Jeannine expressed her love to those around her with delicious treats. Consistently generous with her words, Jeannine - or Gigi, as those closest to her called her - never hesitated to let those around her know what they meant to her.

Jeannine lived a life of service. For decades, she nurtured and guided the young residents of the Malley Farm Boys Home in Somersworth. After her beloved "Auntie Eil" passed away at Langdon Place, she continued to visit Eil's roommate for years. Her humble good deeds were quiet and unassuming.

Jeannine was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph F. Ryan, Jr., and great aunt, Eileen Jordan. She is survived by her brother Joseph F. Ryan III; niece, Kathryn Ryan Baird (Garrett); great-nieces Campbell and Marguerite Baird and great-nephew Garrett Whittemore Baird; soul-friends Tina and Mark Sipple and Noreen Lavorgna (Steve); and the beloved Godchildren and friends she adored - Andrew, Eileen, and Daniel Sipple and Carly (Lavorgna) Ocadiz and Jackie Lavorgna. Her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Finn, will miss her dearly.
