James “Skeff” Skeffington ... enjoyed playing darts

LEBANON - James F. “Skeff” Skeffington, 65, of 4 Merchants Row, died Friday May 30, 2014, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.

He was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Boston, Mass., the son of the late James F. and Beatrice (Perry) Skeffington. He has resided in Lebanon since 1977, previously living in Tewskbury, Mass. He worked as a drywall estimator for Chris's Drywall in Hooksett, N.H., and had done construction most of his life. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of York, Maine.

He enjoyed fishing, playing darts, Keno and shooting. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed fireworks. “Skeff” especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Members of his family include his wife of 44 years, Maura (Kelly) Skeffington; sons, James F. Skeffington III, Brian and wife Julie and their children, Alyssa and Kaley; daughters, Eleanor and husband Brian Arsenault and their children, Tayler, Owen, and Brynn all of Lebanon; Ann Marie and husband Bernie Pender and their children, Cody and Thomas, of Falmouth, Maine; sister, Gladdie and husband Ray Coultas of Florida; many nieces and nephews; his dog “Ben” and cat “Jet.” He was preceded in death by sister, Nancy Dunn.
