ROCHESTER - James T. (JT) Gray, 48, of Rochester, died an extend battle associated with the complications of diabetes and heart disease on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.

JT was born on January 6, 1971 in Rochester and was a lifelong Rochester resident. He attended Rochester Catholic School and graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover in 1989. He later earned various degrees at McIntosh College, Southern New Hampshire University and Washington University. He was employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company as a Business Analyst since 2007. JT was a lifelong parishioner at Saint Mary Church in Rochester.

JT enjoyed cribbage, trivia, and Sudoku. He was a proud dance dad and never missed a dance recital. JT was the most passionate about cheering on the Patriots, the Red Sox and any team playing against the Yankees. He loved coming home from work to take naps with his cat, Ellie (who he swore he never wanted). JT was well-known for his humor and would be sorely disappointed at our attempt at levity in his obituary.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 23 years, Kelly (Bascom) Gray and daughters Joelle and Allison, all of Rochester. He also leaves behind his parents, James P and Joanne (Callaghan) Gray of Rochester; his sister, Jennifer Kinville and her husband Scot of Brookfield; his brother, Jonathan Gray of Mattapoisett, Mass; his sister, Jessica Greco and her husband, Thomas, of Rochester and their sons Evan and Kyle. He is also mourned by his parents-in-law, David and Jean Bascom of Epping; his sister-in-law, Kerry Poliquin of Exeter; his sister-in-law, Kiley York and her husband, Stephen of New Durham, and their children Matthew and Mackenzie; and his brother-in-law, Shawn Poliquin of Dover. He also leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is predeceased by paternal grandparents William and Charity Gray, maternal grandparents John and Alberta Callaghan, and his uncle, Kevin Callaghan.
