ROCHESTER - James Russell Andrews, (Jimmy) died on Sept. 5, 2023, at the age of 70 in Rochester. Born on Oct. 11, 1952, in Dover, Jimmy was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jimmy had an incredible zest for life and a comedic wit that brought smiles to the faces of everyone around him. He was a man of many accomplishments, having owned his own business, Communications Specialists for many years, and DJ'd at a local radio station. In addition, Jim served as a Deputy for the Strafford County Sheriffs Department and for State of NH. Dept of Safety. He was also an EMT and ski instructor, showcasing his diverse range of skills and passions. Jim had a keen interest in photography, guitar, kayaking, golf and metal detecting, among many other leisure activities.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Cindy A. Andrews, who stood by his side throughout their journey together. He leaves behind his son, Christopher Andrews, and his daughter, Nicole Andrews and their mom, Nancy Andrews. Jim adored his children and was incredibly proud of them. He also cherished his stepson, Mark Andrews and partner, Jess; stepdaughter, Nikki Awadallah, and her husband, Mustafa and was a proud grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren, Jade, Jia, and Joy, who brought him immense joy and happiness.

In addition to his immediate family, Jim is survived by his brother, Dennis Andrews, and his wife, Cindy, as well as his brother, Michael Andrews, and his wife, Tena. He also had many other cousins, nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Andrews and his father James Andrews, whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.

Jim's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his loving nature, infectious laughter, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and strength for his family and friends during this difficult time.
