Jackson man arrested in fatal shooing of woman, 23

CONCORD - An autopsy conducted on a young Jackson woman fatally shot on Wednesday found that she died from a single gunshot wound to the head, the Attorney Generals announced on Saturday.
A Jackson man has been arrested in the death of Esmae Doucette, 23, who suffered the gunshot wound at the Dana Place Apartments on Route 16 in Jackson.
Jackson police got involved after getting reports of a person with a gunshot injury at the Dana Place Apartments, the Attorney General's Office said in a release.
Upon arrival officers found Doucette suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to Memorial Hospital in North Conway where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
Brandon Mitchell, 21, is being held on no bail after being charged with second-degree murder in Doucette's death. He is expected to be arraigned today in the Carroll Superior Court.
The autopsy determined Doucette's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of her death was homicide.
