STRAFFORD - Irma Messenger, 95, of Strafford, died at her home on July 3, 2022 surrounded by her family.

She was born August 16, 1926, in Strafford, the daughter of Ellsworth and Ora (Stanton) Berry. She was born in the house she resided in her whole life. She was a member of the Crown Point Baptist Church. She was graduated from Nasson College. She worked at Newburys Deapartment Store. She worked at the Strafford Elementary School in the cafeteria. She managed her family's business, Rad Messenger Excavation Inc.

Irma loved gardening, mowing her lawn, swimming in her pool, reading and baking. She loved having her family around her.

She was the wife of Radford Messenger who passed away in 2018. She is survived by her sons Mark and his wife Trisha, Greg and his wife Michelle. Three grandchildren Elayna Messenger-Cray and wife Danielle, Katherine and Matthew. She was predeceased by her sisters, Carol Rawski, Sara Balcom and brother John Berry.
