ROCHESTER - Irene J. Turner, 78, died on Sunday June 9, 2024, at Watson Fields Assisted Living Facility, followed by a period of failing health.

Born Aug. 15, 1945, in Rochester, she was the daughter of Joseph and Leah (Cote) Binette.

Irene was a 1965 graduate of Spaulding High School. She had worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a plastic fabricator, and made model submarines. She enjoyed gardening and provided vegetables to the community at their farm stand under the family name 'Binette's Farm' for 26 years with her husband Floyd. Over the years Irene and her husband enjoyed traveling and visited 49 states with their truck and camper.

Members of her family include her daughter, Wendy Dowaliby of Rochester, her grandchildren Trevor, Hannah, Dylan, and Jessica, and her great grandchildren Abel, Aceson, Allie, Zayla and Zoey, as well as several nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Floyd Turner, and her siblings Donald and Roland Binette, Annette Gagnon, and her twin sister Lorraine Binette.
