Ice, freezing rain making travel hazardous throughout Northern Seacoast

A freezing rain and ice advisory is currently in effect for the Greater Rochester area till 4 p.m., with ice accumulations up to a quarter on an inch.

During this time roads and especially bridges could prove treacherous travel.

Also driveways, porches and porch steps can be very slick.

The high for today is expected to be around 37 degrees, with clearer skies and lows around 20 forecast for tonight.

Just a quarter of an inch of ice can slicken area roadways as well as do some tree damage.

Tomorrow's weather calls for mostly sunny skies and highs just in the mid-20s.
