MILTON - Horace W. Alden Jr. 69. of Milton died on May 23, 2022, after a period of failing health. Born to Horace W. Alden and Mary E. Alden (Canwell) on December 8, 1952 in Lewiston, Maine.

He was the oldest sibling of 11 and is survived by siblings Gloria Howe, Heidi Ellis, Jay Alden, Jody Alden, Sonya Turcotte (Timothy), Kim Haigh (Vernon), Mark Alden (Diana), Troy Alden, Shannon Alden (Caroline) and was predeceased by his beloved parents "Ma & Dad" and sister Wanda Kean.

Horace was a graduate Spaulding H.S. class of 1971 and employed by Baxter's Woolen Mill in East Rochester. He was soon drafted to serve the Army in Korea and served honorably for two years. Later working at Davidson Rubber of Farmington.

Horace survived a terrible accident early in life and it had a lifelong impact, paralysis changed his path in life and challenged him every day. Having a love of cars and the mechanics of them, he could still be found under the hood and sometimes even under the car itself. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and chatting over a cup of coffee, visitors were always welcome.

He was thankful for the many years of care provided by his "family" at the West Roxbury VA Hospital and to those who provided home care and services.

Horace also leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews and their 17 children. Uncle Horace was a kind man with a big heart. He has reunited with Ma and Dad and can finally rest in peace in pain no more.
