Habitual offender arrested for DUI after truck crashes into apartment deck: police

ROCHESTER - A Rochester man was arrested for DUI and felony driving as a habitual offender after police say he crashed his vehicle into a deck at a Farmington Road apartment complex.
The incident unfolded around 9:45 a.m. on Monday when police were called to 36 Farmington Road for a vehicle that had struck the building.
Once on scene officers learned that George Forest, 62, of 36 Farmington Road, Apt. 236, was the operator of a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado that struck the deck.
Forest was charged with DUI and driving a motor vehicle after having been certified as a habitual offender, a felony.
He was released on personal recognizance pending his arraignment at Strafford Superior Court.

Rochester Fire personnel were called to the scene to see whether any structural damage had been done to the deck, but later determined it was safe.
