GILFORD - Gunstock Mountain Resort's annual Food Truck Festival will be held on Sept. 14. The celebration of street food and family fun will include running events including one for dogs.
The festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with advance admission of $5 paid at gunstock.com or $8 the day of the event. Children 10 and younger are admitted free.
More than a dozen food trucks offering a wide variety of culinary options will serve as the centerpiece for the foodie festivities. There will also be a beer garden and live entertainment by the Dan Fallon Band. Also included are Cow Patty Bingo and other family games.
New this year attendees can take part in Gunstock's 5k trail run and Canicross 5k (running with a tethered dog) before the food vendors open. In addition, there will be a 100-meter fun run for aspiring runners aged 5 and younger. Runners participating in any of the runs will get free admission to the Food Truck Festival.
Timed races will take place on mostly-gravel roads and along Gunstock's cross-country ski trails that feature a few rolling hills. One aid station will be located near the mid-point of the course. The Canicross 5k will begin at 8 a.m. sharp and the 5k will begin at 9 a.m. sharp. Bib Pickup is available at the Gunstock Ticket Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 13 or from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on September 14. The kids' Fun Run begins at 10 a.m.
Gunstock's Adventure Park will be operating during the Food Truck Festival.
