CONCORD - A Gilford man has been added to the list of New Hampshire residents indicted in the ongoing investigations into sexual assault at state youth detention centers including the Youth Development Center, Youth Detention Services Unit and Sununu Youth Services Center, the Attorney Generals Office announced on Wednesday.

Victor Malavet, 59, was formally charged with seven counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault in 2001 in connection with allegations by one former resident of the YDSU.
The charges and allegations are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Meanwhile, the task force continues its mission to investigate child abuse allegations occurring at YDC/SYSC and YDSU.

Any person with information regarding criminal conduct at any of the facilities is urged to contact the New Hampshire Attorney General's Task Force hotline at 271-4000.
