FARMINGTON - For the second time in three days, area residents are mourning the loss of someone they love in a vehicular crash.

The most recent traffic death occurred early Tuesday afternoon when Erin Conroy, 35, of Farmington, who grew up in Rochester and attended Spaulding High, was killed in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Route 11 (Farmington Road) in Farmington about a half mile west of the Rochester line.

Dawn Whitney, a classmate at Spaulding, told The Rochester Voice today that Conroy was the "sweetest girl" you could imagine, someone who would give you "the shirt off her back or her last dollar."

"I got to know here quite well because my best friend dated her brother," Whitney said. "She loved rock music."

Ashley Murphy added on Conroy's Facebook page that she and Conroy "always had a lot of fun in middle school, many memories."

The collision occurred in the area of Plank Industrial Drive when police say Conroy, 35, was the operator of a 2014 Hyundai Elantra that was headed west toward Farmington when it crossed the center line colliding head-on with a pickup truck headed in the opposite direction.

A passenger in Conroy's car, Lucas King, 39, of Rochester, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The 2021 Ford F-150 pickup was operated by Robert Hodgdon, 58, of Newmarket, who was also injured and taken to a local hospital.

On Sunday Bobby Dow Sr., 49, of Rochester, was fatally injured when his Harley Davidson struck a raised curb median on the Spaulding's Route 202 Connector and he was thrown from his bike.
