MILTON - Francella Woods, 93, died on Monday, September 27, 2021. Born December 17, 1927, to William and Edith Woods where she grew up in Strafford.

Francella attended the Providence Bible Institute. After graduation, she enrolled at the University of New Hampshire and earned her M.S. degree. She later returned to the University and earned a doctorate in Zoology.

Francella was among the first CBFMS missionaries to go to Taiwan in 1952 where she taught Chemistry and Biology. In 1969, she transferred to Hong Kong and became head of the science department. She also taught in China on two different occasions.

Francella is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Ruby and Robert Costantino and nieces and nephews.
