MILTON - Local End 68 Hours of Hunger organizer Laura Bubar Noseworthy is asking for donations to help needy Milton kids get food.

The organization originally founded to help schoolchildren get weekend food as well as other food-collection services are having trouble getting what they need as stores are not letting them buy in bulk.

Noseworthy said items needed are mac 'n cheese, pasta, spaghetti sauce, boxes or bags of cereal, cans of soup, cans of meat, instant potatoes, rice or pasta packets, peanut butter, jelly, crackers, granola bars, cookie packs, and fruit cups.

Anyone who wants to donate food can drop it off at the Milton Community Church next Saturday, March 28, from 9-11. The door at the rear that faces MES will be the dropoff point.

Noseworthy suggests anyone who wants to help can buy extra food items during their normal shopping days this week to donate next Saturday.
