Florida man arrested in Estes Road DUI crash

ROCHESTER - A Florida man was arrested for drunken driving Monday night after his car crashed on Estes Road.

Joseph Flynn, 31, of Pensacola, was behind the wheel when his Subaru Legacy failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a mailbox and several large rocks, police say.

Flynn was the only occupant of the vehicle and suffered minor injuries, but the vehicle took severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Flynn was arrested at the scene and charged with misdemeanor level DUI. He was released on personal recognizance bail pending a September arraignment at Rochester District Court.

Vehicle speed also played a factor in the crash, police say.
