Scene of Thursday fire on Limestone Lane in Rochester (Rochester Fire)
ROCHESTER - Rochester firefighters worked in extreme heat Thursday while battling a fire on Limestone Lane.
Fire crews responded to 23 Limestone Lane around 3:45 p.m. and found smoke coming from the roof where one individual was trying to put the fire out.
Another person found inside the residence was rescued along with 13 birds who were also said to be OK.
The scene was cleared around 5:15 p.m.,
Safety officials said the origin of the appeared to be in the roof.
