ROCHESTER - The Rochester Fire Department will host their second annual Fire Safety Festival on Oct. 13.
Families are invited to enjoy a free, fun-filled day with their firefighters, with fire safety demonstrations, vendors and food, and plenty of souvenirs and giveaways for everyone.
The event is part of the national Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 7-13.
This year's Fire Prevention Week campaign is titled, "Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere."
The goal is to educate people about three ways they can reduce the likelihood of having a fire - and how to escape safely if they have one.
The festival runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the downtown Central Station on Wakefield Street.
