Female nabbed, male still at large in armed robbery

ROCHESTER - Police have arrested a Rochester woman and are looking for her male accomplice after another woman was robbed at knifepoint on Sunday.

Tasha Loaiza, 21, of 17 Norway Plains Road #43, Rochester, was charged with armed robbery and faces arraignment today in Rochester District Court. She is being held on $5,000 cash bail.

Her accomplice, described as a black man about 5-foot-10 with short black hair, no facial hair, skinny with a muscular physique and 18-30 years old, is still at large.

Police say they first got a call at 10:33 a.m. for a report of an armed robbery at the Rochester Residence Inn #17 at 182 Milton Road.

The victim heard a knock at her door and opened the door and a female whom she knew came in, police said. She said that an unknown black male walked in behind this female. The male then pulled out a knife and both the female and the black male proceeded to threaten the victim asking for drugs and money

and both suspects started to search the rooms, according to police.

Police said the female suspect took a computer tablet that belonged to the victim and eventually the male and the female took money from the victim's wallet and

fled in a vehicle.

Their license plate was written down leading police to respond to 43 Norway Plains Road where the female suspect was located.
