NORTH HAMPTON - A Faminton woman was arrested for aggravated DWI late Sunday after she was spotted driving 125 mph on Interstate 95.
New Hampshire State Trooper Lauren Hervieux was monitoring southbound traffic from a stationary position in Greenland when she observed a 2017 Ford Fusion traveling at a high rate of speed. Initially, Trooper Hervieux confirmed the speed of the vehicle at 113 mph.
After the Ford traveled past Hervieux's location, she caught up with the Ford as it continued southbound into North Hampton and noted that the speed of the Ford continued to increase as the operator made a series of lane changes. As Trooper Hervieux traveled behind the Ford, she was able to confirm the speed of the Ford at 125 mph.
Based upon these observations Hervieux initiated a motor vehicle stop on the Ford and subsequently identified the operator as Tehya Patch, 20, of Farmington.
Patch was arrested and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of liquor, driving under the influence of liquor, and reckless operation.
Patch was released on personal pending an appearance in Hampton District Court next month.
