ROCHESTER - A former Rochester man has been indicted in a massive summer 2014 theft spree of articles from vehicle in Dover alleged to have included debit cards, Ipods, electronics and cash, even a Northface backpack.
Timothy Gordon, 26, with a last known address of 63 Lafayette St., was formally charged by a Strafford County grand jury with 10 counts of theft by unauthorized taking and eight counts of receiving stolen property.
All 18 charges are Class B felonies, punishable by 3 ½ to seven years in state prison apiece.
The severity of the charges is in part due to Gordon having been convicted twice in September 2006 by two separate courts on various theft charges.
All the incidents allegedly occurred between Sept. 1-9 in Dover and were allegedly carried out with an accomplice, whose identity and criminal status could not be immediately confirmed, thus his name was withheld for this report.
The grand jury indictments were handed down earlier this month and released on Tuesday.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant a trial.
