LEBANON - Ethel M. Lizotte, 78, died on June 22, 2014, at her home, in Lebanon. She was born in Lebanon on Oct. 1, 1935, to Howard and Madeline (Maxfield) Patch. She attended Rochester schools graduating in 1953. On October 23, 1953, she married Ernest Lizotte. In 1959 they moved to Lebanon to raise their family.

She enjoyed being a wife and mother. Also gardening, hunting and making Maple Syrup with her husband and family. Sewing was her passion and she made quilts for everyone. Ethel was an active member of church, teaching Sunday School and Awana for more than 40 years. After raising her family she served as Tax collector and 911 coordinator for the Town of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by one son; Gregory Eric Lizotte, brother; Howard "Sonny" Patch, and sister; Rose Beettie.

Surviving are: Husband Ernest Lizotte of Lebanon, Daughters: Alice and her husband Bruce Earle of Sanford, Maine. Karen and her husband Frank Smith of Sanford, Maine. Sons: Ernest "Butch" and his wife Bobbie Lizotte of Lebanon, Gary and his wife Mary Lizotte of Stoneham, Mass., Brian and his wife Angie Lizotte of Lebanon, Foster son: Guy and his wife Michelle Welch of Sanford, 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Armand, Ronal, Robert and Michael Patch. Sisters: Mary Jones and Sylvia Arcouette.
