DOVER - Elizabeth (Betty) Jane Keegan Healy died on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Watson Fields in Dover, NH. Betty died peacefully, of early onset dementia, surrounded by her family.

Betty was born April 21, 1958 at Franklin Hospital, Franklin. She was the youngest of eight children of John F. and Ruby Keegan. Her husband, David Healy, her loving parents and brother, Tim, preceded her in death.

She attended St. Mary's School and Franklin High School, graduating in 1976. Betty graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work.

Betty enjoyed camping and sunning on the beach. During her college summers Betty loved working at Dolly Copp Campground in the NH White Mountain National Forest. She made people hysterical with laughter describing how to clean the outhouses!

She worked for various agencies in the Seacoast Region specializing in elder care. She was well loved by all her clients and her co-workers. Betty also chaired the Lamprey Health Care annual "Operation Santa" for more than 10 years. This program still brings together community partners to provide holiday assistance to families in need. She was sorely missed when she passed the baton to others, a testament to Betty's efficiency, caring and generosity for people of all ages. Betty worked part time in the catering business where she met her husband, David Healy. They married on January 23, 1994 and made Portsmouth, their home. You could always count on Betty and Dave's home being filled with music, pets, and chocolate chip cookies.

Betty was fortunate to have a group of life long friends, affectionately known as "The Girls". Having grown up family camping in the White Mountains, Betty continued to enjoy camping with her sisters-in-law, Beth Sheibley and Andrea Healy and their children.

Betty is survived by sisters Anne (Dave) Moskal, New Britain, CT; Kathy (Paul) Malsbenden, Newmarket, NH; Peg (Lee) Crockett, St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law Carmen Lauritsen-Keegan, Wells, ME; and brothers John D. (the late Barb) Keegan, Boscawen, NH; Tom (Lucille) Keegan, Bristol, NH; Bill (Merit) Keegan, Post Mills, VT; and many loving nieces and nephews.
