Eastside man accused of offering minor a gift card in exchange for sexual favors

DOVER - An East Rochester man stands accused of offering a female under the age of 13 a gift card in exchange for sexual favors, according to an indictment handed down by a Strafford Count grand jury last month.
Jeremy Brooks, 29, with a last known address of Sunview Lane, "knowingly offered to pay (the victim) to engage in sexual contact when he asked (her) to let him touch her (genitals) in exchange for a gift card," court documents state.
Trafficking in persons is a Class B felony that is punishable by up to 10-20 years in a New Hampshire State Prison and a $4,000 fine.
The November grand jury indictments were handed down on Nov. 17 and released to the public last week.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant moving forward to trial.
