ROCHESTER - An East Rochester man was among two injured early today when the car he were riding in plowed into a tree and caught fire.

The crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. on Salmon Falls Road in the area of Woodland Green.

Police say they arrived on scene to find a 2008 Subaru Imprezza fully involved and had to help extricate the passenger in the vehicle, Brandon Littlefield, 23 of East Rochester. Police say a bystander assisted in the extrication.

Littlefield was taken to Frisibie Memorial Hospital with what were described as serious but nonlife threatening injuries.

The driver, Kylie Dulac, 20, who'd gotten out on his own, suffered minor injuries, police say.

Rochester Fire quickly extinguished the blaze.

The Subaru sustained major damage due to the fire and crash and was towed from the scene.

Salmon Falls Road was closed for several hours in the area of the crash due to the accident and road conditions.

Rochester DPW responded to address the road conditions and the road was reopened.

Police say speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
