CONCORD - The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's "Discover Wild 0New Hampshire Day" is scheduled for April 19.

The free, family-friendly event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fish and Game headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive, Concord.

Now in its 36th year, Discover WILD New Hampshire Day gives residents a chance to connect with the great outdoors. Eventgoers will be able to explore New Hampshire's wildlife, outdoor traditions and conservation efforts through interactive exhibits, live animal demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Features of the program allow visitors to:

  • See live animals, big fish, and trained falcons up close
  • Try your skills at archery, fly-tying, casting, and B.B. gun shooting
  • Watch retriever dogs in action
  • Get creative with craft activities
  • Grab a bite at Food Truck Alley--something for every taste!

Hosted by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and sponsored by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire (Fish and Game's nonprofit partner), this exciting event is also supported by media sponsor Manchester Media Group.
