LEBANON - Dennis Picou, 50, passed away peacefully at home Monday, March 17, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Hempstead, N.Y. on December 29, 1963, son of David Picou (Amityville, N.Y.), and Sallie (Boston) Chandler (Lebanon, Maine). He grew up in Bangor, Maine, and moved to Lebanon where he was a graduate of Noble High School, Class of 1982. For the past 14 years he had the privilege to work daily with his very special "Papa" Arnold Chandler. He had worked as a supervisor at F.W. Morse for a number of years, and was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard from 1983-1992.

Survived by his mother and father Sallie and Arnold Chandler (Lebanon, Maine), father and mother David and Virginia Picou (Amityville, N.Y.), brother and sister-in-lawChristopher and Jana Picou (Somersworth), special friend "brother" Victor Castillo and wife Dawn (Eliot, Maine), son and daughter-in-law Dustin and Emily Pease (Severn, Md.), daughter Leah Costales (Rochester), brother Derrick Picou (Springfield, Mo.), sister Deirdre Picou (Amityville, N.Y.), sister Danielle Picou (Dublin, Pa.), seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Special aunt Carol Picou, (Queens, N.Y.).

"Uncle" will be forever in the hearts and dearly missed by Casey Callahan, Emily Callahan, Alexis Picou and David Picou (Somersworth).

Dennis was loved by many. His sense of humor, charm and wit will be deeply missed.
