ROCHESTER - The Rochester Opera House will present the timeless musical Fiddler on the Roof from Friday through July 27.

Winner of nine Tony Awards, when it debuted in 1964, Fiddler on the Roof, has become a cornerstone of musical theater. Set in the small village of Anatevka, the story follows Tevye, a poor milkman, as he navigates the challenges of maintaining his Jewish traditions amid the changing social landscape and growing anti-Semitism in Czarist Russia.

Fiddler on the Roof explores universal themes of tradition and family, resonating across boundaries of race, class, nationality, and religion. Audiences can expect a deeply moving experience filled with laughter, joy, and tears.
