Cornerstone hires nurse practitioner to help with palliative care patients

ROCHESTER - Cornerstone VNA has hired Amy Dumont, DNP, APRN-BC, to their Palliative Care Team as a nurse practitioner providing inpatient Palliative Care consultations at York Hospital, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, and Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

Palliative Care is specialized medical care provided by a Nurse Practitioner to help patients manage symptoms related to complex illnesses such as cancer, advanced cardiac disease, and advanced respiratory disease.

Dumont's Palliative Care experience and expertise significantly enhances Cornerstone VNA's dedication to delivering care and support to patients, giving them more control over their illness and improving their quality of life.

"My passion is delivering patient and family-centered supportive Palliative Care, and I am excited to partner with Cornerstone VNA for the opportunity to extend this service to our local in-patient settings," she said.
