Contact with suspicious vehicle yields arrest of man accused of child sex assaults

YORK, Maine - A Kittery man was arrested on Thursday after police identified him as a suspect in a child sex assault case out of Colorado.

York Police officers located a suspicious vehicle on Tilden Lane a little before 10 p.m. and upon making contact with the operator identified him as Thomas Medlin, who had a nationwide extradition warrant out of Colorado for four counts of sexual assault of a child.

Medlin was arrested and transported to the York County Jail without incident. He will be held pending extradition back to Colorado.
