City man driving box truck pulling trailer involved in 4-vehicle pileup on I-93

HOOKSETT - A Rochester man driving a box truck pulling a tractor trailer was involved in a four-car crash on Interstate 93 on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 12:15 p.m. on I-93 south near the Hooksett toll plaza, State Police said in a press release.

Preliminary investigation determined that a tractor-trailer unit with an open box type trailer struck a Dodge sedan from behind, which then was pushed into the rear of a Chevrolet Suburban. Police say the tractor-trailer unit also sideswiped a Subaru sedan as it was slowing to a stop.

The tractor-trailer is owned by Peter J. Osbourne Transportation of Pittsfield. The operator of the box truck was identified as Timothy Bultman, 37, Rochester, NH

Four people were transported to two separate area hospitals for evaluation and treatment regarding a varying array of injuries, none of which appeared to life threatening.

State Police at Troop D barracks in Concord were unable to confirm to The Rochester Voice this morning whether Bultman was among the injured.

Due to the crash, Exit 11 and all of the cash lanes for the Hooksett Toll Plaza were shut down until the vehicles could be removed and the roadway cleaned of debris and fluids.

NH DOT assisted State Police at the scene. Troop G also responded to the scene to conduct a Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection of the tractor-trailer unit and the driver.
