ROCHESTER - Closed captioning is now available for the city's GovTV across all platforms, including cable and streaming services.

Closed captioning provides text on the screen to transcribe audio in real time, making content more accessible to viewers who are hearing impaired. Users can easily toggle this feature on or off as needed. The captions, generated through advanced AI, provide up to 97 percent accuracy, although staff anticipates improvements over time.

GovTV continues to connect residents to vital information through live broadcasts, replays, and on-demand content. The channel offers a wide range of programming, including public meetings, department updates, public service announcements, and a Community Bulletin Board.

GovTV is available on Breezeline Channel 26, Comcast Channel 22, and streaming devices like Apple, Fire, and Roku by searching "Rochester NH." Viewers can also access live streams, an on-demand library, archived meetings, and city-related content on the City's website.
