City government shuts down email service after spotting cyber vulnerability

ROCHESTER - Due to a massive vulnerability in the Microsoft Exchange Server, the City of Rochester's IT Department is shutting down its email server to protect city assets, city officials have announced.
Residents seeking to contact government offices are urged to use their phone.

The bulletin was released today around 9:25 a.m. by the city's public information office, which added the move was done "out of an abundance of caution."
