SOMERSWORTH - Christine Beane-Martin, 60, of Somersworth, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 30, 2017, in her sleep. Born December 3, 1957, in Melrose, Mass., Chris was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Murray) Beane.
Chris moved throughout the country, and the world, as her father was in the United States Air Force, before settling in Somersworth as a teen, where she would spend the remainder of her life. She graduated from Somersworth High School in 1976 and enjoyed working as an LNA for many years before becoming disabled.
She had a great love for her family, above all else. She was known as a fun loving, spirited and unique individual throughout her family and friends, who were all very fond of her. Everyone would expect to see her with her radiant smile, signature pink wardrobe and pink mug of Tab. Her kindness extended to all those around her, as she treated no one as a stranger. She had a very deep love of animals, especially cats, and was never one to turn away anyone or anything in need. She had a passion for reading and science fiction. Chris was a member of the Crosspoint Church of Rochester, as faith was a very important part of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary (Murray) Beane.
Chris is survived by her devoted husband James Martin; daughter Anji Masse and partner Mike Ricci; daughter Tiffany Drew and husband Dan Drew; son Aaron Masse and partner Tia Crouch; grandchildren Stone, River, and Meadow Devlin with their father Frank Devlin, Jaidah and Brody Drew, all of Somersworth; stepdaughter Erica Holden and husband Aaron Holden, with grandsons Ethan and Connor Holden of Zephyrhills, Fla.; stepdaughter Kim Martin and partner Joe Olender, with grandson Callan Olender of Tampa, Fla. She is also survived by her siblings, brother Art Beane and wife Ruth Bonney of Houston, Texas; brother Peter Beane and wife Phung Beane of Salem, N.H.; sister Teri Hill and husband Richard Hill of Lyons, Kan.; brother Steve Beane and wife Tanya Beane of Bowie, Md.; sister Betsy Beane Guilmette of South Berwick, Maine; brother John Beane and wife Jennifer Beane of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
