Southern Maine Garden Club met for a special workshop taught by Mary Ann Kane, from South Berwick on Dec. 3.
Mary Stewart-Dore, SMGC President, and some club members did a lot of prep work by cutting down in advance all kinds of greenery, holly, pinecones on her nearby land for the club members to use.
There was balsam, arborvitae, spruce, cedar, Scotch pine, as well as holly, winterberries, magnolia leaves and eucalyptus pods. Different members also brought in ribbon, candles, birds and other decorative ornaments to add to their masterpieces. At the end, everyone had a beautiful centerpiece to grace their holiday tables and impress their family and friends.
