ROCHESTER - Cecile Pauline (Huppe) Gagnon, 95, died Wednesday June 19, 2024, at Riverside Rest Home after a period of failing health.

She was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Newmarket, the daughter of Alcide and Blanche Huppe. She was a lifelong resident of Gonic and Rochester. Cecile worked her early years in the local mills and for many years thereafter at General Electric in Somersworth. She retired in 1981 after 33 years at GE.

Cecile was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always had a welcoming smile on her lovely face for all who knew her and any new acquaintances who came her way. She was an avid reader and was always up for a Sunday drive with Zeff, or off to play Bingo. She loved the gatherings with her children and grandchildren, always welcoming them with lots of hugs and kisses.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Conrad "Zeff" Gagnon in 2013. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Gagnon Ray (Kevin) of Newfields; son Andre Gagnon of Greenland; grandchildren Justin Ray, Lyndsey Ray, Hunter Gagnon and Sam Pike. She is also survived by siblings Maurice Huppe (Gerie), MaryAnn Parker, Bernadette Duchesneau (Dennis) and Joseph Huppe. She was predeceased by her sisters, Irene and Rachel.
