ROCHESTER - Bruce M. Jobin, 67, local businessman and entrepreneur, died in Rochester on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, with his loving and devoted wife, Mary, by his side.

Mr. Jobin was born on Oct. 21, 1957, in Dover. He was the son of Raymond and Helen (Otash) Jobin, longtime residents of Dover.

Bruce attended the Dover Schools and upon graduation headed to Alaska to begin his life's adventure. While in Alaska, he began training in the glass industry for what was to be his lifelong career. Bruce was a certified and licensed guide along the Kenai River from Cook Inlet to Skilal Lake. His wilderness hunts included the Alaskan frontier and Kodiak Island. He was an expert outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.

Bruce was a professional boxer in his early years, having been trained by his uncle, Eddie Otash, who was also a longtime professional boxer. Bruce fought bouts in Alaska and in Massachusetts.

He was a gifted musician with the guitar and his singing. He was on a local TV show "Community Auditions" showcasing his talent. Bruce wrote and recorded his own commercials for Interstate Glass with his unique style and distinctive voice.

Bruce returned to New Hampshire and began his own business, Interstate Glass in Somersworth. He was successful in everything he attempted. He was loved by his family, his many dear friends, and all of his customers. He will be remembered for many years to come for the kind-hearted soul he was.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Mary (Lavoie) Jobin and her children; his children, Keith Jobin and Kim Gallego; brother, Brian and wife, Amanda of Barrington; brother Marc and wife, JoAnn of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Donna Zeman and husband, David of Escondido, Calif.; several grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Jobin, and his parents, Raymond and Helen Jobin.
