CONCORD - a Barrington woman was the victim of a wrong-way driver crash on Interstate 93 in Concord on Thursday

State Police got involved around noon when they were dispatched for reports of a wrong-way driver who had entered I-93 in Concord in a silver Hyundai sedan and was traveling northbound on the southbound offramp at Exit 13. When she entered the southbound lanes of I-93 she then crossed into the high-speed lane and collided with a black Chevrolet pickup, according to a Dept. of Safety press release.

The driver of the Hyundai was identified as Liana Fox, 18, of Bow, while the driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck was identified as William Marie, 57, of Barrington. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the crash, two lanes of I-93 southbound were closed for about 15 minutes while emergency personnel freed Fox from the vehicle.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Trooper First Class Jacob Plourde at (603) 451-9329 or Jacob.J.Plourde@dos.nh.gov.
