DOVER - Arthur J. "Trey" Hawxhurst III, 53, of Dover, and formerly of Haverhill, Mass., died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Heidelberg, West Germany, son of Paula (Huberdeau) (Hawxhurst) Fournier and the late Arthur J. Hawxhurst, he was also the stepson of Stephen Fournier.

He attended Saint Joseph Grammar School in Haverhill and was a member of the Exeter High School Class of 1987. Trey went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chinese History from the University of New Hampshire.

Trey was a self-employed landscaper and also was a licensed massage therapist and formerly owned and operated Peak Massage Therapy. He was a member of the Boston Chapter of the Bachata Dance Troupe and traveled across the country entertaining as a member of the Spanish dance group.

He enjoyed hunting and competing in the Iron Man Competitions completing 10 events over the years. He was trained in Mandarin cooking and as a pastry chef and worked at the former Bistro on the Square in Hampton. A lifelong student of history, Trey owned an extensive collection of American Civil War memorabilia and was fluent in both the Mandarin Chinese and Russian languages.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother and stepfather, Paula and Stephen Fournier of Kingston, two sisters, Jennifer A. Hawxhurst of Bellaire, Fla., and Susan A. Fournier of Derry, and a brother Edward J. Fournier of Dover, one aunt and several uncles and cousins.
